Board editor

The native board editor: every module type, styling, data binding, media and publishing.

The board editor is where a board is designed. You add modules, arrange them, style them, and bind them to live menu data. The editor never stores menu content — it stores layout and style and references your menu.

Module types#

The Add-block picker offers 13 modules. The full reference (with every field) is on the Module reference page; here's the map:

GroupModules
Menu contentproductList, productGrid, twoColumnMenu, comboDeal
Brand & marketingbrandBlock, hero, promo, ticker, countdown
Info & utilityhours, qr, footer
Mediamedia (images + video)

Note

brandBlock is the merged logo + name + claim block; footer carries allergens / dietary / wifi / social / legal; media is one module for both images and video. (row and column containers exist for multi-column layouts but aren't in the picker.)

Working with modules#

  • Add, delete and reorder modules with drag-and-drop.
  • Hide, lock, duplicate, or replace a module's type in place.

Styling#

  • Each module picks a tone — a colour with its text ink auto-contrasted so it always stays legible (no separate background/text colour fields).
  • A single frame control handles the module's shape, padding and border.
  • Text gets a size slider; the fonts themselves come from your Brand Kit at board level.
  • Some modules add motion (e.g. the ticker scroll, hero/media rotation).
  • Your Brand Kit colours and fonts are injected automatically so boards stay on-brand.

Data binding#

Bind a module to a menu category or product and it renders live data — change the price in Manager and the board updates.

The QR module#

The qr module renders a real, scannable code from whatever value you give it — a website URL, or a raw wifi:, tel: or mailto: string. If the board has a menu attached, it can auto-encode that menu's link so guests can scan to see the menu on their phone. The colours auto-clamp for contrast so the code always scans.

Media#

The media picker pulls from your tenant's media library — upload or select images for hero, promo, logo and video modules.

Draft and publish#

  1. 1

    Edit with autosave

Your changes are saved as a draft as you work.

  2. 2

    Publish

Pushes the draft to every screen showing this board — live within about a second.

Tip

Because boards are data-locked, you can redesign a board freely without any risk of changing a price or an item name. Content only ever comes from Manager.
